tocklinch is known locally as being a social, welcoming and close-knit community. Over the past few years the village has enjoyed, amongst may other things, an Arts Week, a Golf Championship, Putting Competitions, Table Tennis Tournaments, Treasure Hunts, Film Shows, our (very original) annual Pantomimes and Bridge Tournaments.

Some of Stocklinch's 120 residents have lived here all their life - others have left hectic city lives in exchange for our rural idyll. We also enjoy quite a sprinkling of people who have come from or lived in quite a number of other countries right around the globe.

There are still three working farms in the village, although sadly the last dairy cows left us last year, and nearly 40% of Stocklinch's working population work from home.

You can read more about some of the village's people and their lives on the Interviews and Arts pages.
