Friday November 12th 2010

A 'horse racing'competition, Stocklinch Style, was held in the village hall.

The main organiser was Roberto Arcobaleno (Rob Rainbow)

The first part of the evenings entertainment was a delicious Lasagne and as usual, copious quantities of wine.

The second part of the evening was the racing

The 'horses' were cutouts of a Vespa scooter, an Alfa Spider, a Fiat 500 and the Leaning Tower of Pisa!

These had to be pulled along the racetrack by jockeys, sitting backwards on a chair who wound strings onto a piece of tubing.

Meanwhile, the rest of the audience placed bets.

A big THANK YOU to all who took part, especially the cooks and Roberto for organising the event
